The wide, flat head slides right under the foam on my simmering stock, and the silicone edge means not a drop of broth drips when I lift it out. Cleanup is just a quick rinse, which is exactly what I needed.

Used it to skim the foam off a pot of stock and the fine mesh caught everything without dragging liquid with it. The silicone edge is a nice touch, doesn't scratch my enameled pot, and it hangs flat in the drawer.

The sieve-like head is the perfect size for skimming foam off my simmering broths, and it handles oil and fat without letting any solid bits slip through. I keep grabbing it for more tasks than I expected.
