I was a little worried the rope texture would feel rough, but it's actually smooth and elegant to the touch. The plates have a nice weight to them and look fantastic on the table.

I was a little worried the rope pattern would look too busy, but on the table it's actually subtle and elegant. The ceramic feels really solid and substantial in hand, and so far they've held up perfectly in the dishwasher.

The rope motif gives these plates a bit of character without being fussy, and the ceramic feels sturdy enough for daily use. I've run them through the dishwasher a few times now and they still look brand new, which is exactly what I needed.
